What will be your cartridge/rifle of choice for this fall? Second?

I forgot to add my model 94.
It’s a 1980 and it shoots 160 grain ftx handloads very nicely.
I haven’t taken a deer with her yet so I would love to do that.
At my age however, my eyes are not what they used to be so shooting the iron sights are a little difficult.
But, I refuse to scope her so…..

Despite having 2-3 full gun safes I am pretty sure it would be the same thing it has been for the past 40 plus years. 35 FN Whelen with 250 grain Hornadays. I know there are a zillion better this and that but my old Whelen just kills what it is aimed at so why change?
