Some of you have the cheddar to buy what you want, whenever you want it. For those of us that have to budget, what are you saving up your money to get?

I'd like to get the following supplies:
Good neck turning kit
progressive loader for those hundreds of pistol rounds!
Upgrade in dies
Leica range finder
Replace all my cleaning rods with Dewey coated rods
Kestrel wind meter

I'm with you SE. Budget is the law.

Well, I should be ordering my hog gun and a digital scale in the next few days. As far as the scale, I'm mostly set on the Hornady. Hog gun, the Savage.

Beyond that... all that goes along with a new rifle. This is going to take some time. I can't afford to buy it all at once. I may wind up doing primary load developement with open sights, at least for finding MAX loads.

I have yet to buy or begin work on this project and I'm already thinking of the next one. I would really like a M70 feather wieght in .243win and after reading this whole "AI" thread, that seams to make sence. I think it would make a great WT/yote gun.

Can't forget a few cans of krylon for the M70 .270win.

Everyone already knows this one, but I'd sure like to have the wonderful 280 Remington back in my stable again. I miss that cartridge. Ruger has come out with darn Hawkeye sporter in the stainless/laminate, and it's gorgeous. If Winchester made the Model 70 sporter with the dark chocolate laminate like those one's Scotty has, I'd probably like that one even more. They both are very very nice, and if I can swing it, I'm going to try and get that Ruger. It's a sweet looking rifle. Just wish it was a 24" barrel, but I think I'll live.

David,

Go get that 280 Remington. Don't talk about it! Get it. I have two of them, and man are they ever shooters.

I would love to have a 280 AI in a Sako stainless synthetic. Other than that my goal in life is to have a rifle that is chambered in each caliber i.e., 22, 24, 25, 26, 27 etc....

Im on a major budget. Got student loan bills starting to come in the mail, a wedding in July, soon to be her student loans in the next year, and sooner or later, grad school loans to pay back when I get in. Also need to buy her a vehicle that gets better mileage for her 30 mile commute next fall...so I/we will be pretty strapped for a while. But....

Id like to get:
a VX-2 or 3 for my 243 with CDS or M1 dials
New stocks for my 300WSM and 243
I would also like to eventually pick up a M70 Featherweight 270 Win
And LOTS OF BULLETS and POWDER!

You should check out a rem 700 mountain rifle, like the one I have. It's a real shooter, and looks great too!

I did have one of those in my 280. It was a Remington MTN rifle, and yes it was a shooter! One more thing I really need is a gun safe. I just have one of those Homak safes for the time being. It's worth it to protect these things.

Since this is in the reloading forum, I'll limit myself.

RCBS Chargemaster combo
I'd like to try some Redding bushing dies
Chrono
Concentricity gauges
20ga. MEC press
Not even on the horizon, but I'd like to get a couple of Dillon 650s

I'm really in need of some scopes for a few rifles I have right now. That's really about all I really want at this point. I'm having alot of fun with my current inventory. Rifle wise, I'm not clamoring for anything to be honest. I would like a 416 or something along those lines someday and a 257 caliber rifle to fill the void my 25-06 CDL left in my safe! I still have dies, bullets and brass so it's a dangerous place for me seeing those with no rifle!

A Model 71 348 Winchester is always on top of everything, but I'm trying to be patient with that one.

Oh and Brian has planted the 243 WSSM seed in my head in the AR platform as well.

Don't worry too much about the 338. I've got your back on this one. I have a few different ways you can go with loads for that rifle so your load work should be pretty easy. I've got good places to start from 180's to 275's!
