Wife's WI bear hunt so far.

Well we are 5 days into the season and so far no bear on the ground. Opening night she passed 3 smaller bears (125-150 pounds) We could not hunt night 2 so we went on night 3 and saw nothing. Night 4 was 93 degrees and the wrong wind so we did not hunt. We are going tonight. The baits have slowed down because of the heat and acorns falling. We are going to keep baiting but slow down from every day to every other or every 3 days. School starting this week and meetings have us busy. We just need one to make a mistake and show up when we are there. We have until Oct 8th to hunt but I know in the back of my wife's mind, she wants to deer hunt ASAP.

Heat can be a killer on hunting bear. Your wife will connect soon enough, and we'll all be overjoyed, though not as much as you and she will be rejoicing. Best of luck to her; the weather will turn and the winds will blow in the right direction and she will connect. We're all pulling for her.
