Winchester’s New Primer Pockets

Digging up an old thread. I have a bag of Win brass with these oblong holes. Can anyone recommend a uniforming tool to fix? They definitely have brass tags hanging inside the case and I was going to get a Sinclair deburring tool to remove, but as far as fixing the uniformity of the flash hole I'm not sure what to use.

This is what I use. Quality tool. Pre-set depth that is based off the inside of the case not the case mouth. I also use the same brand that they offer for primer pocket correction. That also is a quality tool in my opinion.

All I did was debur the flash hole and ran a K&M uniformer to set pocket depth. The primer pockets were cut shallow , I removed quite a bit of material. I have them loaded up but it wont be spring until I get around to test them.

As I am not a match shooter, but more of a hunter and recreational shooter, I will be very interested to see if there is any real effect upon accuracy with these offset flashholes. I have a nice little Remington Tactical in .308 Caliber. The rifle shoots holes in pennies at 100 yards, I have used military match brass, as well as Laupa, Remington and Winchester in this rifle. Smallest groups come from the Winchester Cases. I quite load experimenting when I got down around .280 group sizes, for me that covers my shooting needs,

I'm not a match shooter either but man some of these are nasty. I bought Win brass years ago that looked alot better.
