Applied for my Wyoming pronghorn & mule deer tags again last night.
Hunt Wyoming about every other year, sometimes I let two or three years slip in between trips, but I try to not let that happen. Really enjoy the whole thing - the long drive east to there, camping along the way, sometimes doing a little fly fishing in Montana... Getting back into what's become familiar territory for me now. Stocking up on supplies in Broadus, MT, then out to the ranch for a few days of hunting. Greeting folks who have become friends. Lots of hiking while I hunt. Love seeing how things have changed, or what hasn't changed in my absence. It's different every time.
Sure hoping to draw those tags again. Thanks once again to Stephen Ashe, for introducing me to hunting the Great Plains.
If so, I'll likely just grab the good ol' .25-06 Rem 700, 6x Leupold & 115 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips again. Seems to work, every time. A few photos from past trips:
Regards, Guy
