I am a little curious about your rifle.
Is it marked southgate ca, anywhere ? You may know this aready but many of the early wetherby rifles were buits on FN actions in southgate ca.
Not really sure here but I think the slow twist weatherbys were maded in germany on MKV actions...

I Asume you are talking black bear ! Not That you are under guned for a griz but I would want a little more bullet thatn that for a brownie in the .338.
But for a black bear you are set. .75 and 2800 plus is fine , and should do real well.
That is a...
The ar's have never intersted me a whole lot.

I happen to love my marlin 1895 in 45/70. I have generaly used it with a 350 grain hornady bullet.
I have yet to take a game animal with that rifle, but it is a very near MOA load at 100 yards.
Probably not as good a bear bullet as a partition but I would feel pret...
Those are all good rounds.
I can't from any logical perspective tell you one is any better than another, buy I really like the Roberts.
I have 2 rifles so chamberd and a ackley improved roberts too.

I have had great results with the 100 grain TSX from at least 4 rifles.
But I have done real well with noslers in other calibers.
But There is not likly to be a better bullet for your purpose than the TSX.
I live in Oregon and love both nosler bullets and leupold scopes.
(both excelent...
I have ahad accuracy troubles with the 110 grain accubond.
I have tried it in about 5 rifles and 4 cartridges. The BC of 418 would be great hor my .257 weatherby.
I must add that I got great groups with the 110 grainer from one of my .257 Roberts, at low velocity but when I got the speed...

I took a mule der buck with a 100 grain tsx from a .257 roberts at about the same MV. The results were about the same except i did'nt recover the bullet.
The buck died within about 10 seconds and about 5 ot 10 feet from where I shot him.
