With some of the trials I have done (at the recommendation from this forum and JD) seating deeper into the case, I am going back to the drawing board on my 6.5 PRC. I'm going to start at .050 (ogive) off the lands. Since I'm doing this, I was going to test some of the other powders I typically like since I'm not sure the H1000 is giving me all the setup has to offer.

Here is what I have;
6.5 PRC
AccuBond 140gr
WLRM Primers
20" Barrel

Would like to double check H1000

If you haven't tried Ramshot Magmun give it a try.
As stupid as this sounds, I have started staying away from ball powders because I can't stand the mess they make on my load bench and how much they seem to change POI with temperature.

You might also want to look at the Vihtavouri 500 series powders for a little extra punch over the 100 series powders.
MagPro is another powder that shows great potential in the 6.5 PRC with the 140 gr AccuBonds.

Yes they make a mess when using a autodispenser.

When you have time, can you run it for N160 and N565 as well? Only change is the bullet would be a Nosler Ballistic Tip instead of an AB.

What is everyone's thoughts on QL compared to Gordon's Reloading Tool and can you get either on an iPad?

I'm not sure what your shooting but I'd consider 147 ELD-M's. My dad, my kids, and I have all shot elk with them with good success. Seated to 2.95-2.955 OAL with 54.3grs of R-26 in fired Peterson brass, 54.7grs of R-26 in new Peterson brass or with N565 they shoot tiny groups in all the rifles I've built. Velocity is in the 2870-2920fps range.

I appreciate the input for sure. When I first started with the 6.5 PRC back in late 19 or early 20 the ELD-X and M ruled the space.. So taht is the route I went, Precision Hunter in ELD-X was what I first used. I hands down hate both of those bullets haha. I've gotten to a point lately that I don't care for most of Hornady's stuff at all.

I'm playing with my 140g AccuBond loads right now. I have one that is very consistent for me, 56g of H1000, WLRM primer, Peterson Brass, 140g AccuBond seated .050 off the lands (ogive). In a 5 shot string 3 or 4 will be touching. That load started out .032 off the lands until JD on here had me try .050 on another round. Him opening that box for me, I tried it on this load, now I'm looking at different powders and probably primers to see if I can get more speed with the same accuracy. I want to start more long range stuff and I know consistent speed will help me there.
