Does a Nosler Model 48 replacement trigger with an adjustable shoe placement exist?

H have a Model 48 in 325WSM that I really want to love, but the trigger placement in the guard feels awkward. Too high and to the rear. Does anyone offer a trigger with a fore/aft adjustment of the shoe?

I had not thought of that. Not really a fan of an attachment, but it's worth investigating.

48 is not a Rem 700 clone, it has a flat bottom action. 700 scope bases are compatible and I guess triggers w/of a bolt stop.

Your right the 21 is a Mack Bros clone. The 48 probably still uses a Remington trigger if the bases are compatible. Why anyone would copy Remington's bases on a custom action is beyond me, just make both the front and back round.

The Model 48 trigger is not compatible with any Remington 700 pattern aftermarket trigger. The Model 48 trigger was made by Rifle Basix. Timney offers a replacement that you. Can buy now. When I had mine, Timney had an agreement with Nosler to NOT sell direct to the consumer. You had to send the rifle to Nosler, pay for the trigger, pay Nosler for installation. And all the shipping on top of that.
The Rifle Basix was not a crisp trigger. I couldn‘t get the creep out of it so I went to Rifle Basix for help. Nosler dropped them as trigger vendor when I was going through this. Rifle Basix sent me three of their trigger to try from their left over stock. They were all creepy.
I really liked my Model 48 Heritage 7-08 because the stock was a very nice classic pattern. However, I wasn’t about to pander to Noslers service to get an acceptable trigger. The other QA issue that I had with this rifle was a rough chamber that had not been properly polished out during the chambering process. The rifle did reliably shoot sub MOA and was good enough for the intended purpose.

I have been really happy with all of the Timney triggers that I have used. Trigger Tech is a great trigger which I have had a couple of. The major drawback for me with replacement hunting rifle triggers is the lack of a bolt lock style safety.

If anybody is interested, I posted and extensive review of the Model 48 on here.

PS- I’ll send the Rifle Basix triggers to anyone who wants them.

If you have a fiberglass stocked Model 48, the trigger placement high in the guard is caused by the inletting into the stock. This is a QA/Design issue with the stock as Nosler should have done a better job of specifying magazine box depth so that the inletted barreled action sat at proper depth. Trigger replacement will not fix this.

When I was investigating options for my Model 48 Long Range I was advised by Nosler that the trigger is made by Timney. So I wrote Timney several times over the span of a few months and never received a reply! If you do follow up with Timney I would be curious if you actually get a reply.

Nosler used Timney on the high grade models. The lower production grades used Rifle Basix. Read my post#14.

My wife has M48 Mountain Carbon 30 Nosler and a M48 Heritage 280AI, both have Rifle Basix triggers. I have 2 M21's, the both have Trigger Tech triggers.
