Whoa, had not looked at primers for several years since no one ever seemed to have any. Guess the days of $31 per 1000 are not coming back in my lifetime.

With all the shortages not sure which will come together first, the rifle or the ammo. Crazy times!
With the manufactures making record amounts of components there has to be a mountain of them out there in peoples personal stockpiles.
As always this shall pass.

Saw your handle when I searched the forums for 277 Wolverine. I had hoped to use some of the 90gr bullets to start load development but as with many components they are all out of stock at this time. Thanks for your chart. Your use of Alliant 1200-R for the 110gr Hornady V-Max has reinforced my...
I have finally taken the plunge and started building an upper for my AR15 in a wildcat cartridge. Have loaded for lots of cartridges in the past but this is my first wildcat. I have never worked with something I could not lookup in one of my many manuals or run through Quickload before. I am...
Would be nice to see some for an Encore chambered in 225 Winchester. Not holding my breath. No worries regarding magazine length here. Love the 225 Winchester but its pretty much forgotten when working up data for new powders and components.

Bought a really nice Ruger #1B in 6mm Remington from a gentleman here on this forum. Always wanted a 6mm but hard to find a lefty so the Ruger was perfect. Shoots great with 95gr Partitions and several powders. Love the rifle for sitting in a tree stand looking for deer and hogs. This thread has...
JD338,
Caltech International is making the brass. Not sure if it's in stock but that's what I have been using and have been pleased.

Gentlemen,
What you want to shoot is the Lyman 375449. I have a Marlin Model 375 and that's the bullet it loves the best. They are available from several commercial casters or you can cast your own. This rifle is currently my favorite to take to the range.

Been using it in my 300 Savage. Found it to be good stuff and had no issues with it at all. Laid in a supply for the 375 Winchester since nobody else was making it but have not loaded any yet.

My Marlin likes the heavier Lyman 375449 weighing in at about 275gr. I loaded mine down to 1700fps with RL7 for a young hunter and the rife and load are my new favorite when out for deer and hogs. There's plenty of room with RL7 to step up my load to a higher velocity.

Powders have been coming back steadily and now we are even seeing pistol powders in my area. Scored some Bullseye this weekend myself. Have not been able to find it since I was told that it was what I needed for the 38 Special going on two years ago. No problem finding CCI primers of any...
+2 on the PAST recoil pad! I always wear it when I am testing loads or sighting in a rifle. I don't care who sees me! Those things work and it allows me to do a bunch of shooting per session.

Just shot some this morning in my 270 Winchester with 160gr Nosler's. Rifle likes it better than H4350 but not as well as H4831. Looks promising so far and am planning on continuing with the IMR4451 and H4831 loads. Would not hesitate to take any of the three out for elk though, its just such...
Even in the good times I don't remember seeing anything like that in lower Alabama!
That's what I figured the warehouse that shipped my online orders looked like.

Dan,
My wife thinks a rifle is a rifle is a rifle. In her mind there is no reason for more than one other than I want one. She's likely the one who started the thread, "If you could have only one rifle", in order to respond to my saying I need another rifle for hunting X animal.
Thomas
I was able to convince my wife that I needed a 444 Marlin because I was surprised by a good sized hog and my 30-30 was probably not enough[emoji41]
Worth a try!

I have a row of empty cases and nobody seems to realize what they stand for. People are always asking how many rifles I own but I never admit how many. But a quick count of the cases on the bookshelf would tell most of the story.
I just let mine set on the bookshelf loose so I can fit in any new...
