Thank you everyone, I was really surprised to see that coyote just right there in front of me. That AR is doing a great job. I have kept the groups right around the 5-6 inch mark at 475 meters.
Hey guy's just thought I would share this with you. I was driving down the road north of town and saw something moving. So I kept driving and what do you know, there was a coyote just trotting down the middle of the road (old dirt farming road). After getting about 75 yards from it in the truck...
The same thing happened to my mossberg 100 atr in the 270 win. I had to drill another hole and put a wood stud in the front so it would actually stay in.
The best part about all the brass that was tested here was the fact that I got it all free because someone decided to leave it all over the ground at the shooting range . I expected the Lake city brass to excel over any of the other brass though. I am pretty stoked about these bullets...
Hey guy's just got back from the range and I must say I am a bit surprised at the results. I only tried one powder charge to get started but I tried 5 different brands of brass.
The black groups was PMC brass
The green group was Lack City 06 brass
The red group was WCC brass
The yellow group...
I got them from midsouthshootingsupply.com I just got them in and they look very good. There is not cannalure on them. Here is a link to the exact bullets I got. http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=000042255HP
I am getting ready to load them up and try them out tomorrow. I will...
Hey everyone, I bought a 500 pack of these bullets 2 weeks ago and they should be here today. The question is has anyone else tried any of these bullets? I got the 55 grain hollow point for the 223 AR15. I was told they were made by either Nolser or Hornady? Thank you!
I will have to agree with that statement, but mine was with the marlin (Owned by Remington) Their customer service is not very helpful. the only answer I can get is call back in a week. I should say the gun was ok until things started to fall apart and brake.
I would also like to chime in, I would like to thank HTDUCK for the 308 win brass. He sent me these brass without wanting anything in return. Like stated before we have a great group of people on this site. Thanks again!
chet,
I have tried Hunter in my short mag (7mm) and it did boost the velocity with the bigger bullets. I think it would be worth a try in your rifle. But as stated before, that load will sure put a hurting on any animal within reasonable shooting distance.
My brother shot a deer with a 7mm rem mag 154 grain SST at somewhere around the 250 yard mark right in the shoulder and it did nothing to it. We spent hours upon hours looking for the deer with only one drop of blood within 100 yards of where it was shot. (We did find the dear about 1200 yards...
