I load 74gr's of RL22 behind 180 gr BT's for my 300WM Encore. It shoots sub 1"MOA and I have never had a pressure problem.
The only problem I have noticed with the 300 WM Encore is that if you load max powder, case expansion in the chamber may cause the case to stick and not eject. My...
Pop, Mike is working on his new bullets as we speak. The original set of dies he got were a .001+ or so undersize so he is awaiting new dies to start production.
I have also bought some 2nds and plan on trying them in a 300 Win Mag.
Currently I am loading 180gr North Forks ahead of 74.5 gr's of RL22 and a WLR primer. The North Fork bullet has a solid copper base which is grooved like the Barnes TSX.
Sooooooo, if what I am reading is correct about the...
Here is a handy calculator that will tell you how much it cost to reload. The only variable is the brass cost. If you use the brass 5 times just devide it's cost by 5 and enter that number.
i.e. 30-06 Nosler brass = .65 each / 5 = .13 per load.

Common problem with the Encore. Factory rounds will load and extract with no problem. Reloads on fired brass tend to have a small bulge just in front of the belt. I have a very tight chamber on my 300 WinMag and have to make sure that I full size the brass as close to the belt as possible. If I...
Been reading some info on this round and was wondering how long it's going to take for Horady to start selling cases and dies for this round?
What would you guess?
When hunting whitetail with my 300 WinMag I load the 180gr Hornady RN pushed with 74.5gr's of RL22. velosity is 2900 fps and very accurate out of my rifle.
As others have stated, I think you may have more than a COL problem. Check your rings and base to make sure they are tight. I went to using 4 rings on my 300 Win Mag. You also might want to try using an oversize hinge pin. Many T/C's need a hinge pin .001" to .002" oversize to tighten up groups...
Try using RL22 and Winchester LR primers. Here is the recipe for my T/C 300 win mag. 73.5 gr's RL22, Winchester LR primer. I seat the bullet .010 off the lands. I'm getting 1/2" groups at 100 meters.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. I get my best results using standard large rifle primers in evrything up to and including 300 Win Mag.
My go to primers for most loads are Federal and Winchester Large Rifle.
Didn't quite know where to post this decided to give this topic a try..I bought some older ammo today one type that I know nothing about. They are Winchester rimfire 9mm paper shotgun shells.Box says they are "Adapted to model 36 shot gun cal.9mm.They appear to be pretty old..Can anyone help me...
