My go to load in my Omega is 100 gr. 777 loose powder - Harvester crushed rib sabot -Hornady 44 CAL. 240 gr. XTP-HP. All I can say is it shoots great.I killed a doe last year at 170 yards,I shot her behind the shoulder with a complete pass trough.

Before I let my ruger 22-250 go,I had good luck with Ramshot Big Game and also IMR4350 with 55gr. Nosler Bt.

I use GM top engine cleaner for the carbon,and sweets for the copper.Seems to do a good job.

My local gun store has it in stock along with federal large pistol magnum match primers.I thought I would give it a try and save some hazmat fees.I just wanted to see if anyone has else tried it,and if they had any luck with it.The gun is a Ruger Redhawk with 7 1/2 inch barrel.

As you can see in the pic's above the 100 grain bt didn't come apart,and the deer was only about 40 yards from my dad when he shot it.The load Remington brass -51 grains of IMR 4350--CCI BR Large Rifle primer,and 100 grain Nosler BT.

Here are pic's of the bullet. I thought it should have exited at that close of range,but didn't.The only thing that matters is it done its job!!!My dad said the deer just dropped dead.

I don't have a chrono,so I couldn't tell you the speed.I'm still going to work up some loads with Retumbo,and if I can get the accuracy out of it,that is the powder I'm going to use. Again I want to thank all of you guys for you help,and I'll let you know how the loads with Retumbo shoot.

I finally got to shoot it yesterday.I tried the IMR 4350. It shot the best with 51 grains with no high pressure signs.I could cover 3 shots with a quarter at 100 yards.I'm going to load up some Retumbo and give it a try also,but I think this gun is going to turn out to be a good shooter.

I tried seating the bullet near magazine length and couldn't get the bolt to lock down,so I seated them to what the book listed at 3.250 as max.O.A.L.,and could get it to lock down with some resistance.But when I ejected the shell and measured it,the bullet would be pushed back to 3.233 and you...

I was going to use Retumbo starting at 59 grains and working up to 61 to see which shot the best,but I think I will just go with IMR 4350. I just don't won't to compress the Retumbo that much.

I think I'm going to go with the 100 gr.Bt. I don't care about hides,and if I decided to bring it out in deer season I think the 100gr bt would do the job.I've got a few powders to try, Varget-IMR 4350-Ramshot Big Game-Retumbo,and RL22 so I hope I can find something in likes.

If it shoots as good as it looks I will be happy.It already has the barrel free floated and has the Lightning trigger that is adjustable down to 2lbs. About the only thing I didn't like was the plastic detachable magazine.

I just bought a new Mossberg 4x4 25-06. Does anyone own one,and how do you like it? I thought it would be a good gun to carry in my truck and on my 4 wheeler to pop coyotes with.I'm going to try some 100 or 115 grain BT in it.
