Where does the superformance fall in the burn rate/ what powder is comparable. I'm running the 208 A-max in my 300 WSM at 2950 fps with RL-17 and so far this combo is hard to beat. The only worry I have is the temperature stability as I developed this load in near 100 degree weather.
If it had a three way cutter head I don't think he could keep up with the demand. It proved to be very accurate for what it does though. Indexing off of the shoulder is where its at.
Let us know how they work when you get to them. They sound like a pretty cool tool and a hell of alot cheaper than the alternative Giraud. Will the heads thread into most standard trimmer bodies?
Just found this, http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/pid=33450/Product/RCBS_Trim_Pro_3_Way_Cutters
Has anyone tried it yet? The trim, chamfer, and debur is what kills me on the RCBS prep center and this seems like a economical solution as everyones looking for time savers.

This is the rifle that I am modeling mine after. As soon as I saw this picture on another site I new I wanted the multicam Hydro-dip, it just looks awesome. Mine will be the same stock st-up with rails and an Atlas. Right now I'm looking at different Hydro companies and pricing them out. From...
The Hornady looks nice and the case length trimmer is attached but if I'm gonna get rid of my RCBS station it's gonna be for one of these, http://www.giraudtool.com/prod02.htm
The Hornady lists for $350 and for $425 you can get the Giraud which will dramatically speed up your prep process.
I ran the 155 Scenars in the 6 groove 12 twist 700P OEM barrel and they ran great. I picked up another thousand thinking that I was going to have the next barrel chambered in a 12 twist as well but found a steal on a 10 twist that I couldn't pass up. The Broughton 5C's are pretty fast barrels so...
I have read the articles on Beartooth, great read!!
Just got done with the .444 bullets tests on Marlin owners, definitely some eye opening stuff there as well.
Thanks for the links
If your budget minded in these times there are other alternatives. Some of the big time barrel makers have OEM subsidiaries that do lower cost barrels. They are button rifled instead of cut and more often than not chromolly as this reduces cost. Criterion barrel is a subsidiary of Kreiger and...
Sent partial components to the smith this week to have a switch barrel put together. My donor was a Rem 700P that I felt needed some attention. I had the raceway reamed out to .705 and ordered a custom ground fluted bolt from Dave Kiff. I had a Broughton 7.4 contour 10 twist sitting here and...
I agree, what I have will work great on deer inside of 200 yards. I was looking at the hard-cast 300 grn class for the pigs at or around 2000 fps. Don't really have the need for big expansion and fragmentation through the wound channel. I'm looking for an entry and exit bullet that will pass...
The fella I bought it from didn't like a few things and made a few changes. He sanded the wood down and re-stained it a darker walnut. While he had that down he had the barrel, tube and lever re-blued in matte and had the barrel bands done in gloss to match the receiver and scope. It is really...
I am thinking of trying some IMR-8208 XBR in this since I don't have any 4198 handy. They are very close on the burn rate chart, has any one tried this powder yet with the .444. I have 16 lbs of it waiting on a .308 / 22.250 switch barrel being built.
