170 grain Ballistic Tip in a 270 Weatherby?

That's a great load and man, it's shooting!

Looking forward to seeing how you make out on the antelope hunt.
 
I've gotten bigger.......but not a bad Goat......not a lot of mass though!! This definitely did not test the abilities of the rifle/load though.........getting ready to shoot at 200 yards and he starts walking towards me......ended up about 140 yards LOL. DRT though.........which is always good.

Congrats on your speed goat! You were prepared for long range so this would have been a really easy shot for you.
 
I brought it up to ask how you found the meat damage. I'm starting to load this bullet now and was curious. Got them ready to go just need some good weather.

I did hit high.......and some bone........but I don't think that is too bad for an exit. I would guess at longer ranges there would be less damage etc.
