Congratulations to your son. What's that white stuff all over the ground?

Thank you! Yeah it was super cold and the first time we have hunted them in anything but T shirts!

His bullet was found on the offside hide after passing through a quartering angle and offside shoulder.

Not much left but one very dead buck!

I shot this 8 pt Saturday morning 11/2 with my Matthews Mission xbow and a Muzzy broadhead at 40 yards. He went about 40 yards and piled up.

Got this fella yesterday with the same .243 load I used on the antelope mentioned earlier in this thread. This guy was a brawler, almost every tip was broken of his antlers!

A couple of awesome deer. Congratulations to each of you deer hunters. Great deer, Jim. Johnny, you are correct that the animal you tagged appears to have been a street brawler.

I shot this bull the weekend before last at 626yds with my suppressed 300wsm. One picture is the shot position, the zoomed picture is him above the tree in the center of the picture and the picture of my youngest with the rack.

Here is the fox that stole the tenderloins and tried to come back for more when we got up the next morning.

Great pictures! Yeah, bet that fox won't try that again! I'm sure your son enjoyed the time in the great outdoors with his dad.

I don't think that fox is going to be quite as tasty as the tenderloins though...

Love how you get after the elk, and love you’re exposing you boy to it. The fox will be a memorable twist for years!
Congratulations!

My buck 5.jpg

CO 2nd season last second muley. 153.5" gross, 26" wide. 185gr Berger Classic Hunter at 216 yards from my 300 win mag. It did the job, but I still like the way my E tips or Accubonds perform better.

It's in the freezer and I will get it tanned when I get home. It has a super nice hide on it. Both of my boys thought the fox was super cool. The oldest is the one that wants to go hunting and shooting the most but he doesn't like touching that stuff near as much as the youngest. Right now we are trying to kill 2 more elk before Friday, which is the end of the season. We saw 1 whitetail buck, 15-20 antelope, 15-20 bighorn sheep, and 50+ elk today. My hunting buddies brother missed a spike at 590yds today but we know where a big group is with 3 bulls. So we will see if we can get on those tomorrow.

Great hunts and memories, bulls and bucks biting the dust, or snow, great way to start my day.

Nathan I love the pictures of the little guy. Congratulations on your bull, if I remember right you still have a couple more hunts.
