Looking good fellas.
Should be meat in the freezer and horns on the wall this fall!

Jim it looks like you should nave a good season.

if I can keep my finger off the trigger , that's been a problem . I've passed up some pretty good ones , only to loose control and bring home something way smaller . LOL

I usually shoot the first 1 i see. Around here if you let it walk the next guy shoots it. And no matter how long you boil the horns they're still hard. LOL

I used to think "If it's brown it's down". Started letting the small bucks go, let them grow and now it's an 8 pt 16" spread min for me. We've owned this property for 5 years now and the hunting is getting better every year. Using forestry management practices is really paying off. Of course having food, water, cover and genetics factor into the equation.

We've all been there. We're all pulling for you this season and looking forward to your pictures showing your success.

Nothing better than 100’s of pictures of a twig waving in the breeze. Been there many of times.
Been there, on a windy day I counted close to a thousand on the wireless Defender and got bored scrolling on my laptop and turned alerts off on my phone. Had relocated the Defender and that minimized the tree waving pics.

this will be our third hunting season on the lease . the first year we got the lease right before hunting season started , so we didn't do anything except hunt it . the next spring we got serious about food plots and trying to better things . this would be our second year of putting effort in it . it sure seems to be paying off . the genetics had to be there , we haven't had it long enough to build on this . the land owner ( coal company) is pleased with what we're doing , and tries to help us in ways . this past spring he got us tied in with Penn State ag department . they were looking for projects for the students . we were accepted for a project , we got 3500 trees planted on the lease . I won't live long enough to see the benefit of this , but the next guys will . it's definitely a work in progress .

you have too when you hunt public land . with the game commissions nonstop herd reduction plan , finding deer can be a daunting task.

This ☝️speaks volumes in our area.

Well the past weekend weather has left me with a massive head cold , I did change cards earlier in the week just haven’t put anything up until today. Couple of nicer young bucks and unicorn still in the area.

I was at the dentist Wednesday , she had the sniffles . Friday I felt like I got run over . yesterday was the opening day of archery , I spent it sleeping .

windows updated my photo program , I hate the new one . a few of the good bucks are on my one camera that the file is too big to upload . I'll have to figure out how to resize the pics. I got one resized , and the program froze .

here is a few pics from last week .
