270 150 grain accubond

In both by 7/08 and 270win, I find that the Accubonds don't seem to group as tightly as other projectiles like the Hornady SST or Sierra Gaming. That said it's not a huge difference, somewhere between .25 and .5 of on inch which is nothing as it still is within a minute of pig or other game I hunt so I don't worry about it too much as I'm not chasing 1 hole groups but rather looking to put game down effectively which AB does extremely well in my experience

I went to the range today and got some mixed results. this was my best group so I decided to chronograph it. 2903-2888, 15fps ok. 57.5 g H4831sc? with a 150 grain AccuBond? In the book is says 2905 with 55 grains of H4831? 7500 ft 29F. Ill go back and try again just to make sure the scale isn't f@#%! up.

Looks like possible horizontal stringing. Are you using a stable shooting set up?

Im with Jim. I’d also try two groups of 3 just to get a better overall picture of what it’s doing.

1-10 is plenty for the 150 AccuBond. The LR version doesn’t seem as great at times but still decent.

I'm shooting the 150 LRAB out of a Remington 700 with a 24" barrel and RL26 will push them downrange at just under 3100 fps.
Loads that shoot at or slightly over MOA at .050" to .025" off the rifling scatter the bullets into 2+ MOA groups when seated near or into the rifling.
Don't have any of the unicon RL26 powder? IMR 7828 and RL25 will get you close to 3000 fps and deliver better accuracy that I'm getting with RL26.

I have a bunch of RL25 what load are you using?

Well I an happy with this. The one on the far right is from another load. 57.5g H4831sc 2910 ave. velocity.
Well, either group would work, but the one on the far right is definitely something to put a grin on your chin. And a 150 grain pill launched at ~2900 fps is a powerhouse.

The mount of RL25 you can load depends on the brass and the LOA of the cartridge needed to be ~.040" short of the rifling or the mag length if shorter.
RP brass weighs 205 gr , FC weights 204 gr. , and WW is only 194 gr. , so the actual powder capacity of the WW brass is about 1 gr. more RL-25 than the other two. When using RL-25 in the 270, powder capacity is needed. I'd suggest working up to 60 gr. in WW brass, and proceed beyond that carefully.
In reality, it seems that your 4831 load is ready to hunt with and the gains offered by other powders aren't going to make a difference in the field.
