This is the shot of targets as Dan is breaking in his RMR 280 AI.

Here is the final shots following break-in. This is Dan's description. "here is last shots after break in. I pulled my first shot so last three are around .5. It is going to be hard to beat those factory Nosler 140gr AccuBond!!"

Nice I can only imagine he is tickled pink. I wonder if the Whelen still has a place in his heart? Might be a perfect pickup for your grandson Mike!

Good thought, Jake. I suspect that Dan is one of those sorts that won't let a good rifle go, however.

Looking good Dan. The accuracy is going to be there for sure, who knows you might end up running the Nosler factory ammo this fall.......

Beating those 140gr Nosler factories is going to be tough but I am going to give them a run for their money . The second target is actual on its side the group is actual shot at the bottom target so it is two clicks left which I corrected after that last group & height for 100 yards is just about right for dead on at 200 yards.
Thank you to DrMike for posting my photos.
There is a few things that need adjusting as trigger feels heavy & when ejecting the bullet it seem to pull to left & stick in the chamber a bit. Could anyone tell me why when extracting it would do that?

Blessings,
Dan

Sorry about that, Dan. I'm the one who rotated your photo, thinking it was skewed.

DrMike, it is more than fine  my friend. You have always been there to give me a hand. I am actually going to measure the moa here in a couple of minutes & post it.
DrMike I could really forget about my other rifles after shooting this beauty !
I am interested on how fast these factory 140s as they seem quick.

Blessings,
Dan

Dan,

Glad you were finally able to shoot your 280 AI. The initial shooting
shows exceptional accuracy and it will only get better.
She is a shooter for sure.

Thank you JD. I sent DrMike another photo showing the measured MOA @ .520".
I am really looking forward to working on that 150gr ABLR load from all indication this little lady likes to shoot .

Blessings,
Dan

This is the photo Dan sent. It should put a smile on the most jaded face.

Very nice! Seems like a great rifle and it'll be tough to beat that load. Might be worth a call to Nosler to see what their load is for the 140's. Might take a bunch of load work right outta the picture.

Did you post a picture of your rifle somewhere? I haven't seen it yet.

What great results! Great shooting rifle and ammo. I bet these targets resulted in some smiles.

You mean a grandson of the great Dr. Mike would consider factory ammo? I don't believe it!

Now I'm confused! My grandson rolls his own. :? Dan, a friend, (though the friendship is going to be strained severely through the use of factory ammo), owns this 280 AI. If he falls in love with this 280 AI and forsakes his 35 Whelen, I may appropriate said rifle for my grandson. Be assured, however, that we will roll our own.

Trust me Ladies & Gentlemen  I will be as DrMike states be rolling my own .
It will just give me more incentive to make a load that the factory will envy !!

Blessings,
Dan
