I know this is probably beating a dead horse, but does anyone have any .280 Remington Quick Load data for a 24 inch barrel, using 140, 150, 160, and 175 gr bullets?
I ordered a Thompson Center Venture .280 Remington.
I've been reading about the virtues of this amazing cartridge, and it is so appealing to me. The range of bullet weights, and it's within spitting distance of the 7mm Rem Mag, without all the recoil, and muzzle blast.
It's better in external performance than the .270, and almost equals the .30-06 in power down range, but shoots so much flatter than the .30-06.
I've always heard of the virtues of the .270, and .30-06, but none from the .280 Remington.
Also, I dare say, that the .280 is a much better long range performer than the.....(GASP) 6.5 Creedmoor!
I've noticed that most of the factory loads stay supersonic until about 1200 yards, or a little longer.
Any hand load data will help.
Thank you in advance.
