What’s the best powder for 338 RUM using 225gr Nosler Part / Swift A frame and 230gr FS ?

Rem 700 XTR 2

My opinion has always been 7828, yeah good luck finding any. The 7828 ssc gives me pressure signs at regular charge so I had to back off a bit.

Don’t have a Rum , but I would lean towards H1000 or Retumbo. My 340 Wby is a little less case size loves RL-26 behind 225-250gr bullets.

I have about 3/4 pound of IMR 7828 I used years ago in WBY mags.
Reloader 26 unseen in Alaska !

225 Nosler AB RL25 96.0 N/A "3 shot group @ 100 yards 0.567"""
225 Nosler PT RL25 90.0 2800 "4 shot group @ 100 yards 0.490"""

Here in Interior looking for RL 25 or 26.
I have less of a pound of H1000 and 7828.
That 96.0 of RL25 looks like a good load !

My 338 Jarrett gets 2950
/250 accubonds using 7828/Rl26/ drops to near 2900 with H1000. The Jarrett has a couple grains more powder capacity than a 340 WB.

I actually pushed Nosler for 3 years to come out with the 250 gr AB. They were concerned about stability in a 1:10 twist. When Nosler did make the 250 gr AB, I was able to get the first recorded kill with this bullet with a high double shoulder shot on a WT buck, it was a DRT kill. It's pretty much been my go to bullet ever since.
In my 338 RUM, I'm getting 3100 fps with the 250 gr AB in the Krieger 27" barrel and sub .5 MOA.
