I've looked and looked and can't find any. I hope someone can tell me where they are hiding? If you can find them locally I'll buy them from you or trade as well.

Nosler if you're out there lurking, do you know when/where I can find some?

Thanks.

You can't find them because they are not out yet.
They said end of summer so anytime soon I hope

Well guess I missed that memo. Thanks for the info. Hope they hit the shelf soon.

Same here. I was looking forward to the boy hunting with them, but I guess PTs will have to do this year. Scotty

So sad, having to settle for using a mere Nosler Partition...

m1aggie - I'm looking forward to the 6mm Accubonds as well. It's just that the 95 grain Ballistic Tip and the 100 gr Partition have worked so well for me, for so long, that I really don't need any other hunting bullet for the 6mm rifles.

Regards, Guy

They are scheduled to run in February, so they should be available early 2012.

Looking forward to them. Should be some sweet dual purpose bullets for the 6mm/243 crowd.. Can't wait to smash some into jugs and coyotes. Scotty

Awesome now if 6mm Rem could be a new chambering for the TGR we'd be in business.

I'm a +1, and I'm sure that David will be a +2.

If they do it they have to put it in a 3.00 inch magazine so we can seat the bullets out where they need to be. Is that what the length is on Nosler's medium or small action is??

6mm,

What COL are you using on the 6mm? School me a little bit.

I'm getting my TGR 7-08 end if the month but if they'd announce the new calibers before end of year we could still get the NRA discount!!!

The standard factory seating max. is set for 2.825 which is all I can seat the bullets out to in my son's Remington Model 600. I cannot seat them out any further because of the darn short magazine box. The 100 gr. Partitions protrude inside the case quite a bit!

Ruger MKII 6mm Remington- Has a longer magazine box and I can seat them out more appropriately. My son shoots the 90 gr. Nosler E-tip which is supposed to like a bit of a jump to the rifling lands. That being said, they are seated at 2.840 in his 6mm and they shoot great. I have enough room in the magazine for them to clear nicely, and they could even be seated out further, but that is where they shot great.

Ruger #1B 6mm Remington. I shoot 100 gr. Partitions in this rifle and they are seated at 2.860 and I get fantastic groups out of it. I could seat them out further, but that is where they shoot great at so that is where they are. I guess I'm just saying that the 6mm to really get it's full potential could use a slightly longer magazine that what the Remington short action rifles are at. I know both Ruger and Winchester have a bit longer length there and it helps. It's just an anal thing I have and many 6mm's shoot great with the bullets seated quite deeply, but why do that if you don't have to. The 6mm is just long enough that it kind of wants, or needs a slightly longer magazine. Clear as mud now?

I guess I should add that the Model 600 does shoot very well indeed even though the bullets are seated quite deep! It gives us a little more room for powder too!

Thanks and yes clear as mud. Kidding I do understand.

I've had one Ruger rifle in my life and it was a .280 Rem with a tang safety. I wasn't impressed and have been leery about buying another. Have you had any experience with the older Rugers versus the MkIIs? Also, when did Ruger last chamber the 6mm do you know?

6mm Remington- My remington 600 is very accurate with 100 gr. partitions. Hornady Interbonds are pretty accurate, but the partitions make them look horrible. It's just a shame that I can not find .243 partitions anywhere locally.
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but it seems to be the perfect place to put this up at. A few months ago I started asking about 6mm loads and 6mm remington was kind enough to give me some info. (mostly about 6mm e-tips) I ended up going with partitions and below are the results of those loads. The doe was my 13 yr. nephews first deer. While we were gutting his deer I look over his shoulder and the ten pointer was standing about 100 yds off on a hill watching us. I crawled backwards ten feet to my rifle and when he looked away I dropped to my stomach and dropped him where he stood. He rough scored at 146 and 3/8ths. My nephew pulled his shot off a bit and hit her in the spine dropping her on the spot. The partitions cut through her spine like a hot knife through butter. My deer was a strange one. I didn't find an entrance or an exit wound. Now, it had been a long day and I was tired, but a quick run of my hand inside of him did not reveal either. His lungs were jelly so I assume the bullet exploded in side him, but I can't figure out why I didn't right away see an entrance wound. At any rate I am happy with the performance. Two deer down neither ran at all. Lots of people say a 6mm/.243 is borderline for deer....seemed fine to me. Thanks for all the info 6mm remington!

You surely can't complain about that performance. Congratulations on a couple of fine deer. Congratulations to your nephew. Now he'll be hooked on hunting, and that is a good thing. Consequently, that is a sharp looking Model 600.

Thank you I am very happy with it. I inherited it 2 yrs ago when I lost my Dad to lung cancer. He bought it back in the 70's after he got out of the Corps for antelope hunting in new Mexico. He never got the chance to take an antelope with it and ended up coming back to Illinois because he just couldn't make any money out there. (which worked out for me because he met my Mom about a year after he came back) The rifle came back with him and was shot very little. When I got it I couldn't wait to just shoot it. As luck would have it my wife got a promotion and we moved to Kentucky, before we lived in illinois and you can't use a rifle for deer hunting up there. It felt so good to kill a nice deer with my Dad's rifle and also that my nephew killed his first deer with his Grandpa's rifle. The old man was smiling big that day!

Everyone says a 6mm is too small for deer. But you must remember the most important thing bullet placement. If my memory recalls correctly the article in the #2 Nosler manual for the .243 Winchester claims the gentleman killed elk every year with it. But it said he never took a shot that "couldn't make" and if I recall he never took a shot past 100 yards. I also recall an article saying in the 1920's it was common place to shoot elephant with a 7X57 or .275 Rigby but it was the same thing they place the shot from moderate ranges and place each bullet behind the ear.

Chris

Nice double. Congratulations to the both of you.
