7mm , 139 Hornady BTSP

I went to the range last night and tested a few bullets . here is a 139 BTSP fired at 20 yards . it retained 91.7 grains . I shot it from my tikka 7mm-08 at roughly 2850FPS muzzle velocity . Jim

I couldn't get it to lay on the table for a side pic , so I set it on my neck turner .

Looks good Jim. Maybe your 7mm? Bullet is a Hornady? Looks pretty similar. Pretty fun testing bullets huh. Now you can see why it is so addictive. That 139gr Hornady seems like a really good bullet for the normal running 284's! Scotty

Scotty , I've killed a bunch of deer with these 139's and I couldn't ask for better results . blasting jugs is cool . I never did that before . after seeing the 139 opened up , I think JD338 is right, it looks about the same . Jim
 
Yeah it sure does. Do you know what rifle the ? Bullet was shot out of?
