Has anybody worked up any loads for this bullet? I have a 1:8 Rock River Heavy Varmit with a 24" bbl. Will the 1:8 twist work with this bullet weight? This bullet looks very promising for 600 yards and up.

I think a 1 in 7 twist to a 1 in 7.7 twist will do it. Only way to find out is to try it with your 1 in 8 and see if it shoots. 3200 fps or higher in a 1:8 twist 26 inch or longer barrels might stabilize them.

Have you called the manufacturer and ask for a bullet specialist for advise?

Haven't tried contacting Nosler yet. Thought there may be someone that's road tested them, although they haven't been out very long. I might try the same load that I am using for my 80 gr bullets. Maybe drop the starting load by .5 gr. The 80's shoot really tight groups, but I always like to try something new.

Wow I didn’t know about that bullet!

I can feel a fast twist 22-250 Improved in the works...!

Try the twist calculator on Berger's website. I have an 8 twist 22-6mm and shows that it will work. I am at 4400 ft asl though too. I would also suggest measuring your twist and be sure it is what it says it is (a little quicker or slower can make a difference).

I saw this today on the savage forum and it looked interesting. I'm not sure of the original source. I agree though that the only way to know for sure is to test them.
