Some years ago I owned a 444P, and in a moment of stupidity sold it [emoji31]

Well, I finally tracked another one down [emoji4]

That sure has some interesting figure in the wood. Excellent find!

Boy did you ever find a beauty there! That's one of the nicest ones I have seen , now do NOT let this one get away!
Congrats on a great find

Thanks guys. It currently has Skinner rear sight on it, but my eyes aren’t what they used to be and am thinking of putting a Redfield 2-7x on it.
I have 300 Hornady 265gr bullets all ready and might also try some 300gr XTP.

Nice find, congratulations. It should be a shooter for you.
Do you want to sell it? :)

Very nice rifle (y). I sure have noticed that there has been a real increase in interest around these parts for the lever action rifle in what I call the bush calibres .

Blessings,
Dan

Boomer,

I was just testing ya. :)
You have a great rifle there with a lot of reach and power.
Those Marlins will shoot too. My 1895G in 45-70 put 3 Nosler 300 gr BST's into a .400" clover leaf at 100 yards.
Best of luck to you with your triple 4.

JD338, thanks alot and you are so right. Those big bore levers can pack quite the punch and can be very underestimated.

It's too bad Nosler doesn't make a BT for the 444. Would be a dandy.

I would settle for some more of the .429 250 grain Partitions, but no flies on the Swift A-Frames either.

Love my 444 Marlin..
