Nosler,

I just saw an advertisment in one of the gun rags for the AB. You show a picture of a block of ballistic gel that was shot with a 180 gr AB from a 300 Win Mag. 2900 fps and 24" of penetration.
Can you post a better pic of the test block along with the expanded bullet here for better viewing. Any other calibers you could share data on as well. Many of the guys here would really be interested in this information.

And just to get an idea...(a little off topic here) these are Sierra Matchkings from 2100-2600 fps. 30 cal in wet phonebooks. They suck !!!!hence my hatred for them as a game bullet! :evil:

Thanks for the photo test comparisons. They confirm my two experiences. The A/Bs have to be the most consistant energy transfer bullet ever devised that still displays excellent penetration. I'm sold! Where are the .416 350gr. A/Bs??? :wink:

Hell yes! I have been asking for the same thing (actually 325 gr) so I can easily bust 3000-3100 fps in my 416 WBY MAG.

Search the hunting/reloading forums. I took some pictures of a recovered 140 AB from my 270WSM. Deer was about 125 or so yards.

I am going to South Africa in September and I am planning on loading these bullets to take.Will this perform well on plains game?What kind of weight retention shopuld they have?Thanks for help and imput.

Almost identical to the Partition, and we all know how proven they are on all type of game. What are you going to use.
