Doesn't sound that windy, Fotis. I believe I remember some days in WY that were considerably more breezy than that.

I have seen gusts to 80 mph

I don't recall those sort of breezes on the flat land, but atop Casper Mountain, I seem to recall some pretty stiff winds.

Guys if u look at the weather I think that today we have averaged 40mph winds:( plus driving rain.
We had a great summer & early fall I hope this not a sign for the remainder of the fall :(
I was in contact with the guys up at the farm today and they advised they have had 2" of rain & wind gusting over 50 mph all day. It is open Bull Moose right now:)

Blessings,
Dan

I remember coming though that part of the country one year with some cattle and boy it was bad. Counted 15 semis on their sides. It was darn scary passing them when you got that wind break the truck would drive staight for about 150 feet. Burn 30 gallons of diesel from Cheyenne to Rock Springs.

Reminds me of another time this spring going across the salt flats between SLC and Wendover push a 60 mph plus headwind @ 23K. The wind was so bad I had to drop a gear and drove in it for 30 miles burned 1/4 tank of fuel at 55mph.

I found a broken trampoline in my back yard yesterday! Have no clue where it came from. Winds were 55+ mph yesterday!

Now I am stuck with a heap of trash!

Forget the winds and the trampoline.
Get started loading up some shells.

What bullet(s) are you going to use?

I talked to GS this week. Man the price is pretty salty. The 177gr .308's are 92.00/50 plus 14.60 and 17.70 or so for shipping. That works out to be about 2.55/bullet. It should be under 2.00/bullet when they get up and running here but who knows how long that will be. She said they are still looking for a machine accurate enough for the HV line of bullets. I talked to a guy shooting them over 3600fps from a .30-.338 Lapua Imp. That's pretty good ballistics when you consider the .637 BC. I want to try some in my .30-8mm and my .30-.338 Lapua Imp. when I get the reamer.

Yup pretty much what Anthony told me last week.

Too bad we do not have a 330 E-tip or AB huh?

I guess these would work at almost 3000 fps and .444 BC. But I rather have the HV's .465 and 3100 fps
