Does anybody have a favorite load for the 350 Rem? I have a 673 Guide gun with a 22" barrel and Sierra 225 gr and Barnes 200 gr. TSX. What are you all hunting with? I know DrMike said he has a 350 so I'm sure he's devised some killer loads. (Sorry for the pun).
Greg

Greg,

You are correct. I have a 673 chambered in 350 RM.

I really didn't like it when I first got it. It shot well enough, but velocities were much slower than I thought they should be. With Sierra 225 grain SBTs, I get lower velocities than I want so far:

56 grains IMR 4064 and R 9.5 primer--2480 fps and 0.31 inch groups
49.5 grains A 2015 and R 9.5M primers--2347 fps and 0.67 inch groups
59 grains of IMR 4320 and R 9.5 primers--2690 fps and 1 inch groups

With 200 grain TSX, both TAC and Benchmark have given me good results.

61 grains TAC and F210M primers gives MOA and 2862 fps
59 grains Benchmark and F210M primers gives MOA and 2812 fps

The rifle is capable of some serious accuracy, but velocity is given up grudgingly.

DrMike,
I knew you'd have worked up a good load. I'll go for your choice of the 200 TSX and Tac. The only question would be OAL. Otherwise I'll go with the max.
Thanks again for the good info.
Greg

TAC powder is sure generating some impressive velocities and IMR 4895 is outstanding accuracy!
The lil' 350 Rem Mag is a big stick in a small bundle.

As an aside, Greg. I pulled the rib off the top, as is evident from the picture. It probably didn't help the shooting any, but it did improve the looks. I did, however, pillar bed the rifle and replace the firing pin with a titanium model and a stiffer spring for faster lock time and more stability. I believe it was worth the effort.

I kind of like the looks of the rib and gaudy front site but I have to admit it makes scoping the rifle a lot more difficult.

Try 60 gr of rl15 with the 225 sierra.
I have some 200 tsx bullets and with Tac (I just bought some) I can push them at 2950 fps!

That's smokin Pop. I just loaded some at 61 and 62 grs of Tac with the 200 TSXs. I havn't shot the gun yet. Scopes on it's way.

My Remington 700 350 rem mag loves a 225 Partition, fed 215, seated at 2.80, setting on top of
57 grains of W748. Have not ran through the chrorn yet.

That's a good looking group, OU812. It would be interesting to see the velocities you record with it.

OU812
That's a very tight group. I'll try that load if the velocity is decent.
Thanks
Greg
