Mar 22, 2009 #2 T tkeveney Beginner Dec 22, 2008 54 0 So far, I haven't found a retailer who stocks white hots. Cabela's web site lists them for $27 Keep in mind, there's only 72 pellets in a box. For my Omega, that's only 24 shots in a box. Add to that the price of good bullets and the price is about $2.50 every time it goes bang! That's a lot of jack, for a gun which has an effective range of about 150 yds (maybe 200 if you arc the shot in on a stationary target.) One fairly well educated retailer I buy supplies from, tells me that the formulation is virtually identical to 777 - minus the grey dye. Hodgdon owns IMR now. 777 and pyrodex pellets are very well protected by patents - so they kind of own the market for pellets. I'm off to the range today to try 777 pellets and 270 grain powerbelts. I'll post the results in a seperate message. Keep excersising your constitutional rights, lest they get flabby!
