Anyone wanna guess?

OK, I have a bunch from the seller, but I'll try to sift out the best ones. Here's one overall shot:

That's BEAUTIFUL! Man oh man. Seeing that makes my heart flutter!

Mine really like RL25 and the 140 BT's and AB's

This one was at 200 yards..

Hmmmm....a friend of mine has some WW brass, but I think Scotty mentioned the same thing about looking to Norma instead.

My dad just got a good group from his Swede on a 130AB. so I may try the 130 in this one, as shooting the same bullet would make it easy for he and I to stock up on bullets. I have RL25 on my powder shelf. The Nosler manual shows RL's 22 and 19 with some promise, too?

When they put their mind to it they can sure build a gorgeous rifle.

I can speak from experience about horrible W-W 264 WM brass, some of it is just awful. I took a lot of life out of my barrel because of it.

Gerry, it seems I'm drifting toward your wavelength here. My rebore project, turning a 30-06 into a 35 Whelen, is due to return to my door tomorrow.

I will be sending out pmt for the 264WM tomorrow.

Maybe Scotty just finally tuned me up enough to get me to see the light? He IS persistent...

Tom,

Very nice buddy!
I was going to guess a M70 Super Grade 264 Win Mag.

My want one just became a need one!

Jim,

I hadn't done a turn around Gunbroker in a long time, and I just happened to do so and see that. At that point, I became feverish to sell something to make the deal, lol.

I have never seen that kind of wood on a Supergrade. And I did ok on price, too.

Mercy, that is a pretty piece of wood! Must have been a new guy inspecting at the factory; an old-timer never would've let that one slip out.

Congratulations on a beautiful rifle! Only problem I can see is with a cartridge which shoots that flat, you're going to need that spotting scope back...

I think Nosler uses too fast a powder in their load data sets for the 264. The fastest I would look at would be RL22, and anything slower from there on out. RL33 looks to be excellent as well, but with my current loads I'll probably stick with 25.

I'm running Nosler cases, but I'd get whatever less expensive between Nosler and Norma.

Well, I'm late to the party. Very nice, though, Tom. That is certainly a gorgeous stick. Yeah, I'm envious.

You need a 264 WM Mike....... it would be wrong not to buy one :)

I don't know why Nosler used such fast powders either in their manual either Scotty, RL 25, RL 33, Retumbo, H 1000, Magnum, Magpro, MRP and MRP-2 come to mind quickly as great powders for it, I'm sure there are many more.

We all saw that you called dibs on the one Fotis has, I bet you won't have to wait long before it's heading to Michigan :) Just imagine what a 129 gr ABLR at over 3300 fps will do for deer and antelope.

See, that's the best part....

I sold the Zeiss for about $300 less than I have in it, BUT....the deal I got was the cash PLUS a Leupold Kenai spotter, which is not the Zeiss, but is plenty good enough for range work. So....I still have a spotter.

This would be why I had to pounce on this whole arrangement!

And while I was hoping the ABLR would be a bit bigger than 129, I agree, I may need to try it in this rifle. Man, that could really be something.

And the scope roulette game is about to begin. I'll see if I can make this easy to follow, but no promises.

I have a Swaro Z3 4-12x50 with a BT on my pre-war 300H&H. I don't like that big 50mm on that gun, but I love the bright optics and field of view. I need to get higher mounts, as the objective is JUUUUUUUST clear of the barrel, but not by much.

I have 3-9x40 Conquest that was on my 30-06 that is now a whelen.

I just bought a 3-10x42 Z3 before this 264 deal went down.

So...

I think I'm going to put the Conquest on the 300H&H, the 3-10 Z3 on the Whelen, and the 4-12 with the BT will go on the 264. Seems the best arrangement for now, even though I have other optics in mind for "down the road".

I came close to buying one, but pulled the trigger on a 7X57 FWT instead. I do like the .264 WM; it is a fine cartridge.

A 140 would have been nice and will probably be made in the near future, but the 129 gr version will be a good one. A 35 Whelen and a 264 WM you have good taste :)

Good call on the 7x57, that's a nice one too.

I agree with that very much!
