I've waited for quite a while for the 8X68S I ordered. When I stopped by the shop on Thursday, Greg had the completed rifle at his bench. It only lacked a bit of work. I assured him that because it is the Christmas season I'm sufficiently busy that I don't have time to do much with it. I was on my way to help a gentleman set up his loading bench that day, so I didn't wait around to pick it up. When I got home, the girls at the desk had phoned to tell me that the rifle was waiting for me. Well, as soon as I had opportunity today, I dropped in and picked it up. I have brass primed and on the bench (along with some new loads for the .358 Norma Magnum). I hope I can get time to at least make the loads this coming week. Today? Hey! Tomorrow is Sunday and tonight is my wife's office party. Children are coming home next week. I should be able to squeeze in some time for loading, however. Here is what the rifle looks like. It is a Model 70 action with a 26 inch PacNor ten twist pipe and topped with a Leica ER 3.5-14X42 ASV scope.
I'm very pleased with the aesthetics of this particular rifle. Before some asks, the finish is Ceracoat burnt bronze.
