Big Maine Bucks coming in!

Nice Earle. Do you enjoy hunting Maine as much as you did Alaska ? Did you hunt the Blacktail's when you were in Alaska ? You possibly have a larger cliental base on the east coast than you had in Alaska, I would imagine. you have had a great hunting life and your still going strong, congratulations and very nice bucks! Take care of those beautiful pups.

April,
Maine Whitetails are a tough proposition at best; if we dont get snow its really tough. We used to hunt Blacktails alot in August over on Kodiak Isle, lots of em then and great eating! You really cant compare Maine to Alaska............ Maine is great because it was always "home" and I am a 3rd generation hunting guide here , but Alaska is the jewel of North America. It leaves an impression on you that you can never shake. Weather it was a brillant sunset reflecting off the mountain glaciers, as you flew along as it was getting dark.......Or watching a big ram over on the next hill, you hope is that magic 40", Or how small you feel, first time you see two monster Moose are fighting, close to you. To just seeing a mother Grizzly's gentleness; when stops and lays down on her back, to let her cubs feed, Alaska"the greatland" is our most special place.141027-4M9509-887x591.jpg If you have never watched the northern lites dance; to the lonely howl of a distant wolf, trying to locate his pack......... You have never really lived
life as I know it......
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

Here is yet another nice Buck shot next to a property we own about 30 miles away. I like the genetics in the area!

Looks to be some excellent genetics in that area, Earle. Fine looking specimen.
