Bullet vote please

I would go with the AB. My Rem. 7400 smears the bullet tip on chambering.
Frankly at 165yds the bullet tip won't make any difference & for this kind of range I'd probably use the Partition. However, it doesn't make much difference as both bullets are very similar (Expanding) on impact.

Use whatever shoots best, they'll both hammer deer. Accubonds readily expand even on smaller game, I've used them on Bobcats and coyotes & they expanded perfectly. Check the Nosler website for factory seconds & blems. That's all I buy anymore because of the savings. They perform perfectly as well. Accubonds are essentially a tipped Partition in performance. Similar expansion and weight retention. I wouldn't hesitate to use either on Bobcats to elk. Also Ballistic Tips are a good bit tougher than they used to be. That being said, I prefer Accubonds and Partitions.

I’ve taken approximately fourteen deer ranging from 100-180 with the 150 grain Accubonds - 30-06, and 308.
I’ve hunted in North Carolina and their deer are small by comparison to the deer I hunt in CNY.
All have been either DRT or with a short track with good blood.
Ive never had one go further than 40 yards.
I would recommend the accubonds for what you’re looking for and would also suggest getting the factory seconds.
I’ve compared the seconds to a box of “firsts” and could find absolutely no differences. So they are what I buy now.
I shot a Buck that was facing me at about 100 yards and the round knocked him over backwards, and the accubonds traveled all the way to the back of one of his hams. That’s pretty good penetration.
Here is a picture of a Doe I shot at about forty yards and you can see the blood on the ground under her. The tracking was easy with a very good blood trail. She ran about forty yards back towards where she came.
The bullet entered just in front of the right shoulder. If you look you cans see the entrance wound.
Also is a picture of a recovered round from a NC Doe I took. Great mushroom and retained about 65% of it’s original weight.
