After ordering my Leupold for the 7m-08 I had a scope left over and figured I would sell it. I let the word out at work that I had a Conquest 3.5 x 10 x 50 for sale for probably 325.00. Happened to mention it to my best buddy and he said..."you'd better look at what they are going for in Cabelas before you sell for that price". I had not thought much about it because I got it in a trade.

  I about swallowed my tongue.....749.99 I couldn't believe it. Today I told the boys that they should have jumped on it cuz the price just went up to 500.00.

Supply and demand!
Good luck with the scope.

Did you get the VXIII 2.5x8? How do you like it?

JD,

The Leupy should be in by end of week. With a regular temp this morning of -20 I am not in a big hurry to go out shooting.

Prices on almost all glass has been boosted. Glad you caught the mistake before you had to kick yourself. I don't doubt that you'll find the Leupold to be a fine scope.

Yeh, now that I see what its worth...I may not be too anxious to sell it. Would take quite a bit of overtime to replace it.

long,

You might as well keep it. Its always nice to have an extra scope in the safe.

long,

I agree with JD ! In my case an extra scope in the safe means there isn't enough guns in the safe....?? That Zeiss is a beautiful piece of Glass.

There is more than one rifle in my safe that began its journey into my home with the purchase of a scope. It is not near as outlandish as the rifles that come because of a set of dies or a bag of brass.

You guys weave a twisted web for sure. I sold a rifle to buy the Leupy and figured I did not need this particular scope. But you are probably right. Never know when a caliber or particular rifle will give me an itch.

I know, I have 45-70 dies, brass and bullets.

Long,

You need something with a belt or RUM in the caliber designation.
That will take care of the itch.

Slams gavel (sp)? down on the bench !

7MM RUM

7mm RUM

[size=18 SWEET

Let us know how she shoots  ( of course when you get it )

My .300 is as big as I need / want to go, but I'd love a 7 RUM !

My 1st Sako was a 7mm. Thought it would be my only ever Sako and in a do everything caliber. Wrong on both counts. Not much fun to shoot off of the bench as an only rifle, and Sako rifles are addictive.

Now about the 7Rum..... I have a 7-30 Waters, 7m-08 and 280. Course there is a 308 in the mix also, just because. So the 7Rum would be the gun nuts logical choice but I have to do some thinking here.....you guys can really give a person grief.
