Well, Haley finally decided to remove the Boyd’s stock we had cut for her 7-08 and go back to the factory one. I’ll miss all the men giving her a hard time over her “Barbie Rifle”, then she shut them up by stacking accubonds on the target like stacking pennies. It’s seen it’s fair share of benches and hunting blinds.

Hopefully the factory shoots as well as the other stock.
If not, have it bedded in the same manner as the other. And ensure that the torque is the same on the action screws when changing stocks.

My 280 shifted POI when I changed from my XCR stock to the LSS stock, and having them both glass and pillar bedded corrected the issue for me. Now I can shift from a fair weather to a bad weather/rough country hunt stock.

That hog is a dandy looking hog, congratulations to Haley. It sure is fun when a lady shows the guys what she can do. Good job shutting those guys up. 🤣
Hope the factory stock works well for Haley and don't get rid of the hot pink stock, it sure looks nice. Possible use it in the future for another rifle project.

Thanks guys. Yeah that stock will have a place here. I have two granddaughters that may take in interest in shooting. At least I’m done with load development for it. There’s seldom anyone at the range during the weekdays, but as soon as I show up with a pink rifle, there’s 10 guys on the line 😜

Ain't that the way it goes!

They are just jealous:ROFLMAO: Dan.

Ah OK, for some reason I assumed that the old stock had been wood and wondered what would have made her want to switch back. I really love the quality Boyds provides at their price range. Needing to save weight makes sense though.

Boy I would hate messing up a rifle that shot that well. I assume the factory is plastic , hopefully that load says in tune with it.

Luckily I still have the notes from before we put the Boyd’s stock on. We had to back up and punt when I put the Boyd’s on because all the loads worked up with the factory stock didn’t work as well after I put the Boyd’s on. So it’ll be back to the old loads. I have loads with the 125 BT and 140 AB, that worked very well with the factory stock before.

Grabbed some of the 140 NAB’s I loaded for it before we swapped out to the Boyd’s and tried them again now that it’s wearing the factory stock again. The scope was off pretty bad, but after re-zeroing it, the old load still shoots.
