Has anyone experimented with this powder?
Because I was wondering how temp sensitive it is, and was wondering if
mag. primers would be needed?

Thanks,

I've had very good performance with Superformance in the 6.5CM...less success in the .300WSM- the speed was there, but the accuracy was not.

I was getting expected velocities from book data at 0-15F. No idea what will happen at 75F, but I can't imagine the book data was written for those sorts of temps.

I used regular primers in the 6.5 and magnum primers in the .300 as would be normal for the case.

I used quite a bit of it in a 280..It worked quite well with 140 grain bullets, but not as good with the heavier bullets..Its definitely a niche powder, performing in certain cartridges with certain bullet weights, but if your application falls in its niche, it will shine in both speed and accuracy. I don't know if a mag primer is required, but its what I used..I didn't really pay attention to if it was temp sensitive or not.

I’ve played with it in 3006 150, 165, and 180 weight range, speed was fine, accuracy was not as good as I could get elsewhere. Still looking for an application it shines in, maybe I need to be dropping down in 30 cal weights or trying in the 243Win.

I have used it in the following with good results.

243 Win. 95 gr. Nosler bt
6mm Rem 90 gr. Nosler AB and 85 gr TSX
30-06 168 TSX and 180 Partition
300 SAUM 180 Partition and 190 LRAB
338 Win. 225 Sierra, Hornady IB, Nosler Partition

It was not always the fastest or most accurate but was always more than needed for my uses.
