INTRODUCING Accubond Long Range

Guns are a lot cheaper than strippers and race cars. Especially if you are married!

The first ones out, 270 150 gr and 308 210 gr will hit the shelves in late March 2013.

I just confirmed some interesting info from Leupold.
I have a CDS dial on my VX-3 3.5-10x40mm set up with the 280 AI 140 gr AB (.485 BC) at 3150 fps. I can reach 750 yds with a single turn.
The new 150 gr ABLR (.611 BC) at 3050 fps maps our perfectly with the same dial. Max error of margin is 1.5" over 800 yds. The 150 gr ABLR basically shoots as flat as the 140 gr AB but caries more energy.

I thought that was pretty cool.

Just in time for fairly decent load developement temps here. Can't wait to try some 7mm's aand .308's.

Where's the .25's...? CL

Other calibers will be added in time. I would think .257 and .338 will be coming out in the next year or two.

That's great news Jim. I'm looking forward to that 150 ABLR for my sons 7mm Mauser and the 190 or 210 in my 300. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing what the 150's do in my 270 WSM, looking at RL25 or 33, I should be able to get them into the mid 3100's, which would make that rifle awesome for longer ranges and the energy retention seems out of this world as well.

Hoping the 270 Winchester shooters give them a try as well, if they shoot, those old 270's will be a beast!

That is pretty darn cool Jim!

Sort of like you Scotty, in the rather modest case capacity semi-wildcat 7mm that I have really isn't a speed demon, but I'm really looking forward to see what that 150 will do. What truely gets me excited about this design, is that low end velocity threshold. The BC surely helps both on trajectory and velocity retention, which adds yardage and energy naturally, by comparision to other's. But for me, that low end velocity performance adds a completely new dynamic, on the end that I have waiting to come along since the last blue moon. This bullet design has no equal as far as I see or know of, no matter the MV.

Likewise also, I plan on giving those .308's a try with 190 in the .308 Win., and the 210 in the 06.
I guess if those don't get me to what/where I need/want,,,,, well darn, I quess I'll just have to go buy or build something that launches them faster than what have  Wouldn't be the first time I had something built around a particular bullet for specific use in mind.
Again, this design's terminal performance characteristics are unheard of untill now, as far I know,,,,and I can't think of a bullet design that has had me juiced this way in the past 30 years, if not my reloading and hunting career.

It's great that Nosler did this. I'm betting folks are going to love them once they get some time with them. I'm betting they will be impressive.

I just hope the 150grain .277cal will stabilize in a 1:10 twist. Somehow Nosler
does not show up with test results from their lab. So it will become with a certain amount of
uncertainty if they get to work in my .270Wea.

Yep going to be trying those 190's in the 300 WSM and some of those 168's in my brother-in-laws 7mm STW! Too bad there is nothing in the way of .323 yet or the 8mm Rem Mag would be getting a new addition to its already nutritious diet of Nosler Partitions and Accubonds.
