Lets see your .264's

I decided to throw a couple pictures up of these two.. I was a little bored this morning, had a couple of scopes to try out, so I took a couple of pictures of them.







The little M70 Featherweight 6.5 Swede is untested as of yet. I have dies and bullets just no brass yet.. I'll fix that soon.

The Model 70 Classic Sporter 264 Win Mag is probably just about my best shooting rifle. It has done excellent with 130 AB's, 140 PTs, BTs, and ABs..

This was 3 shots at 300 yards..



Here is what the old girl will do at 100 yards if the shooters keeps it together..

Pretty skookum cartridges, Scotty. I'm not home at the present, so my postings will have to wait. However, I do enjoy looking at what others have.

Those pictures in the trees really look sharp Scotty! I like. Nice groups too from that .264. Curious as to whether you have glass bedded the stock or not? Makes me really antsy to get my rifle back from the gunsmith. It just got coated yesterday and hopefully by the end of next week I'll have it in my mitts. Then I need to get serious about the whole scope and mount issue!

A guy should take several nice photographs like that of your various rifles and then make sure and print up a copy and put them into photo albums. Besides being great to look at, it doesn't hurt to write the make, model, serial number, scope, and caliber on the back for insurance purposes. I have photographs of my firearms with my insurance agent too and all of the pertinent information is with them. That way heaven forbid something should happen, my agent has that information.

David, the 264 Win is bedded at the recoil lug and tang. Always planned to go back through and put some pillars in it, still might, but it shoots real well as it sits.

Jim, I imagine you'll find the "one" soon enough. I am sorta excited to get out and shoot mine some. It's been awhile and I had a scope go South on it, so now it needs to get zeroed and back up and running. Awesome cartridge though.

Great guns Scotty, nice matched pair you have. There is quite a difference in length between those two, 22 vs 26 " barrels I guess. Your 264 WM is a keeper for sure and I bet the Swede won't disappoint either.

My wife's Tikka T 3 6.5x55, it has a new Burris FF II 2-7x35 now.





My Rem 700 CDL with a Pac Nor barrel 264 Win Mag currently sitting in a SPS stock with a Leupold 3.5-10x40, was going to sell it but couldn't go through with it.





My Savage 260 Rem that is wearing the Leupold 8X40 that is pictured on my wife's gun.

Gerry, I'd imagine it'd be tough to let go of your 264. They don't exactly make LH rifles like that everyday.

Ok Scotty, but you said 264's vs. 6.5 mm... I suppose since the Swede is in there it's a free for all as long as the caliber is in .264... here's three of mine.

GA Precision Surgeon wearing a Kahles Tactical K3-12x50 1/10 Mrad Mil-dot reticle in 260 Rem.

Kimber Montana wearing a Leupold 3.5-10x40 M3 Mil-dot in 6.5WSM. (the last one uses the 300 WM 190 SMK turret cap which is very close to the BC/drop of the 140-142's I run with). But I still dial what my app tells me to run.

Yeah, they are the newer version of the ZA5, called the ZA5 HD. Very nice upgrades over the older models. They did a lot right with them in my opinion. Had one on my sons 7x57 for awhile now and it's been excellent.
