Excellent pick Fotis. My .35 Marlin is dated from 1947. Ballard rifling. Spits out accurate bullets and drops deer quite nicely. Have any idea when your rifle was manufactured? Quite nice looking.

It will be here this week. It is JM stamped

Mine is 1966 dated.

You probably want to buy back those 358 bullets you sold me not too long ago, right?

I believe a Savage 99 would fit in nicely in the collection, and maybe a Browning BLR. Your Finnwolf is a fairly rare and classy addition.

Here you go with original peep!
Rotate peep 180 degrees for 200 yards.

I do love lever guns. Don't own a single Marlin; I'm going to have to remedy that deficit.

I've always liked lever action rifles. Dad taught me to shoot with a little .22 Marlin "Mountie" which was a straight-stocked, shorter barreled version of the 39A. Never have found a rifle I like better than a good 39A, shooting one always brings a smile to my face.

Yup, am down to just a couple now; a .22 and a .30-30, but I do enjoy a good levergun. You bet!

Guy a 39A is on my bucket list

Looks like she will be here on Tuesday.

I love my 336 35 Rem. Pretty accurate with 200 grain Remington CLRN's at 2290..

Man Scotty that buttstock is gorgeous. I love that figure in that Marlin.

Yeah, that is a sweet shooter Pat.

Here is a picture of the rifle 25 ft up an oak tree.. Finished a small buck off with it that Fall.. Those 200's just work well from that rifle.

Only lever I got is the Winchester Illinois commemorative model 94. It's my wife's family heirloom.

I need one that can shoot.

Find a Marlin or Winchester on the used rack. They are too much fun and usually alot more accurate than people give them credit for..

Fotis,

the 39As have been showin' up at the local gun auctions here lately. They bring $325-400, depending.

I don't have one, or any lever for that matter. Might have to work on that!

I used to love levers before my eyes went. I had two Marlins (.35 Rem, .45-70) plus, (5) Winchester Model 94 variants (.30/30, .32 Win Spec) and a Model 92 (.45 Colt). I can not see without a scope now and gave my last Model 94 (.32 Win Spec-1947) to my son.
