Got a bunch of the 123 grain CC Noslers in 6.5 that I want to try in the 6.5X47L. Can someone give me QL data and any info they may have from personal use? Thanks

G'Day Fella's,

.257 Ackley, a good mate of mine swears by the following load;

123grn, 6.5mm Lapua Scenar Moly coated bullet,
39.0 to 39.5grns of Reloader 15 powder,
CCI Small rifle Magnum Primer,
and 3050fps.
I can't remember the barrel length of his rifle but it would be at least 26"!

Looks like R15 and 17 will have to be tried. R15 doesn't show up on the QL data, but I have some comparison data from work done with the 123 Scenar to get me beginning loads. Is there data on this bullet in the new Nosler manual? It doesn't show up in #6.

The Scenar and the CC certainly show some differences in QL. Propellant profiles generated are similar for either bullet. RL15 will work, but doesn't appear to be the most efficient nor make me want to jump it above any of a number of others.

I am really surprised how well H414 and 760 show with this cartride/bullet combo. I had one ragged hole with H414 and the 139 Scenar during testing.

Oh, yeah, they seem to give good performance. If you're getting that degree of accuracy, the choice is practically made for you.
 
Just FYI. Different calibers, barrel length and probably rate of twist.

I experienced bullet rupture with the 123 A-max in an M96 6.5X55 under hot barrel conditions during the rapid fire stage of a high power match. Follow up testing with the 123 cc under similar conditions revealed some of the same signs (smoke trailing and lead residue at impact) at 100 yards after a 15 round string.

Load was on the mild side. Tested very accurate and got no trouble signs at 100 yds. Problem occurred after heavy barrel heating in 90+ weather. You might be fine with your twist rate and a fine match barrel vs Swedish military, just a heads up to test for this possibility. Hate to see you drop some match points the way I did.
