Magnetospeed Sporter

Just put an order in for a Magnetospeed Sporter tonight (along with the interface cable). I've been looking at one pretty hard since I first heard about them since my local range is usually pretty busy and it's a pain in the rear to get a chrony set up.

Anyway...is there anything as far as set-up goes that I should know about before the first trip out? I've read a few stories about the strap not holding tight...other than that it seems like everyone likes them quite a bit.

Just read the instructions and power it up. I'd watch the youtube video while you're messing with it.

The knob on the bottom of the mount needs to be loose, like half way off, when you get the strap as tight as you can on the barrel. THEN screw the knob in and get the additional tension on the strap.

You can use the Sporter with a muzzle brake. The directions show how to position the mount behind the brake. Good luck.
