I use to like shooting the big bores. After messing up my shoulder and a few bad disk I have reduced my fire breathers. Now I am going lighter on the recoil I need a #1 in 308 to add to my micro boomers.

Already have the 280 covered. Picked up a NIB #1B back in 2020. Still haven’t gotten around to shooting it yet.Or a 280 Remington!

You sure you had enough gun for that critter????You do know I have bled all my big Bees on antelope and elk right? 378 and 416 so far. In fact here is a PD which met its demise from my 416 Bee.
280AI fixed it for you!Or a 280 Remington!

I did learn that the 404gr SH out of the 460Wby are a little too much for whitetail. Blew the bottom open and dumped everything out , quick field dress. You do know I have bled all my big Bees on antelope and elk right? 378 and 416 so far. In fact here is a PD which met its demise from my 416 Bee.
I’ve shot my son’s 378 with the brake off and it’ll toughen you upAs far as recoil goes let's put it this way. I have owned close to a dozen 378 Bees. One of them did NOT come with a brake. Worst kicker I ever dealt with!
If anyone can consistently shoot this rifle accurately by tuning out the recoil then everything else is like a 30-06.
