NEW TOY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ for My Little Girl!

Wow! Looking great and how wonderful. My 5 year old grand babe has been asking me when I am going to teach her to shoot. I grew up in Texas and got my first .22 at 6 years. Can't see that she should be any different.

I am looking at a CZ Scout.

7mm-08 is such a great little cartridge! You did good.

Funny!
She has a CZ scout!

I reload for my nephew and his XS7Y in 7mm-08. We have been nothing less than impressed. Started out with a mild load with 120gr NBTs and they performed well on two WTs. We moved him up to 139gr Interlocks this year and stepped up the load a bit. They shoot as well as the NBTs but unfortunately he was unable to harvest a deer this past season. His father has a standard XS7 in 7mm-08 and it too shoots very well. They are a great bargain and perfect for equipping a young hunter.

I hope it brings her years of happiness in the field.

Kurt, PURPLE rifles are for ladies!! You have been in Ca for too long!! :p

Ease up there Jarhead! While I admit I have been in San Diego too long, liking purple stocks is not one of the symptoms. When I get one of the 'travelers' from Ocean Beach to paint up a stock like tie dye, or paint peace symbols on a rifle (fat chance of that!), I'll know then that all the time spent in California has affected me.

Nice work! I'm a bit fan of the 7-08. And I have to admit, most of the rifles I have seen with purple on them look pretty dang good, for guys or gals. I can't wait to start seeing pics of her with some blood on it!

FOTIS,
Great choice and congratulations on the relationship building!! There is something about the trust and confidence that gets created when our kids learn these things with us and from us. The responsibility for safety and doing the right thing that is handed to them with that firearm is strong medicine. When that teenage peer pressure comes along later whispering to do dumb things and deceive parents in the process, you have also armed your child for dealing with that, for they do not want to wreck what you have built together.

Then, when we hit rocking chairs on the porch and start swatting imaginary flies, we hopefully will have lots of hunting and shooting memories we can still recall, and some pictures to look at when we can't

Good pick on the rifle and caliber, too.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I knew that would get ya!

Fotis that is awesome. Nice family you got there and good on you getting those kids out and having fun! Now to go with that pretty purple stock sir, I think it would only be fitting to find a purple soft case for it to go in when taking it out to shoot! That after all is the least you could do!

Dang you! Now I AM going to have to get a B&C stock and have it painted like tie-dye!

:)

as long as it is tye dyed with green, grey, tan and black it'll be cool!

I actually want a MARPAT camoed B&C Medalist! That would be sweet.

Fotis - I had actually stripped and repainted that stock to list it for sale. When it was set up for my daughter it was brown with pink "leopard spots" so purple can't be that bad. It was one thing to paint it that way but another to take it to the range one day without her - it did generate some interesting conversations :)

stanimal,

Welcome to the forum. Neat rifle. I'd simply tell people it was dressed in "urban camo."

That would be all kinda of cool. Maybe a duck shotgun, too.

I think so. I wanna see if I can find it. It would be a sweet rig and I like the pattern..

Stanimal, very cool paint job. My daughter gave it a thumbs up..

Welcome to the forum Alan.

Man Know I have to re do it like that with purple hearts.

Thanks for the "welcome", guys. Haven't had a chance to dig through a lot of the other threads yet but I'll get to them soon. Looks like a nice board and I look forward to getting to know the folks here.
