Send it to me and I'll put it to good use. lolIt looks like it possibly just has a 22" barrel. Who would want a 300 WM with a 22" barrel. Bleh, puke. What a disgusting rifle.

For that price you could rebarrel it to something like a 264 or 7mm mag. Just saying, Dan.Will do. If I really wanted it, I should've ran after it today while it was still available. When I get there tomorrow, it could be there, could be gone. I figured if it was, that makes my decision for me. A 300 WM is really not a rifle I'm after, but a FN that appears to look like that, for that money, I should at least look at it if it's still there.

Looks like the temptation was overwhelming
FWIW-I have never owned a 300WM.Crap. It's a sickness. I see Shaw barrels has two M98 Mauser cut barrels in their sale bargain bin, but 1 is a 243, the other 30-06. I'll have to keep my eye out maybe will run across a cool cartridge that would make a nice fit for this rifle. Still don't know what I'd want with a 300 WM other than to say I own 1.
I've never owned one either. I did wind up with several 300 WSMs. They scratched my itch.FWIW-I have never owned a 300WM.
If you are not shooting far or are not shooting big critters, it may not be the ideal for you, but hey, who said it ever needs to be practical...
Think of it as another 30-06 with a bad muzzle blast, lol. Not that you need another 30-06 but it has the cool-wow factor going for it. Dan.Crap. It's a sickness. I really like this post. You don't really have to use the whole case. Some of these subordinate loads just may shoot really well, and be just as effective as the cartridges that they emulate. Ya ' just don't know until you try.Dunno if I posted this earlier or not but I have used some of the loads for the .30 Win. Mag. and they worked just fine.

When I look at this FN, I see a 300 WSM barrel screwed into it, bedded into a McMillian Sako Classic pattern stock.
One of my favorite classic rifles are the Browning Safari grade built on the FN 400 Supreme actions. Never liked the flashy stock finish on those rifles but they are good in the hand.
