Gearing up little project for a buddy... according to a couple manuals 61 to 62 of re22 is a good one to work with.
What else ya got?
I've got lots of different slow-burning powders on hand....just looking for more ideas!

RL22, H1000, RL25 and IMR7828SSC have all gotten over 2900 easily and good accuracy with 175 Partitions in a few different rifles for me. I'm not near my book but Noslers loads were all I used before QL. A few guys have done well with Retumbo as well.

My opinion is that you can't beat Retumbo in the 7RM- with any bullet weight. It consistently provided both top accuracy and velocity with everything from 140's to 175's for me. I pushed 140's to 3400 and 162's to 3150 looking for pressure signs and never saw any. Accuracy was acceptable to excellent with all charges, so I settled at 3300ish for 140's, 3050ish for 160's and 162's, and 2900ish for 175's.

63gr of re22 gives right at 2900fps in my 26" 7mm rem mag with both 175gr Partitions and Sierra SPBT. The 8lb jug I am working with can give 3000fps but accuracy is at 2900fps. Lot to Lot variation with re22 has been reported. After a few more pounds are burned I will be forced to re test my loads.

I use 72grs of Retumbo in a Winchester Case and Federal magnum primer and the 175gr Partition. Gets a tad over 2900 fps. It shoots 1/2" groups from my model 70.
