Ours are mountain caribou and quite a bit smaller. Those are a couple of fine looking animals. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the good words!
Rifle was my 700 LSS in 300 ultra. Ammo was factory
180 corelokt ultra. The first one (in velvet) was shot at 264 yard
and the bullets (2) fragmented on impact with no pass thru.
the second one was 409 yards and this one was a pass thru.
Both were shot @ more than a mile from camp as it was the only place we were seeing some. So it was quite a Job to bring em back to camp
with pack frames. As luck will have it my friend and the guide were strong enough to carry about 100-110 pound packs and they would
leave me a 75 pound pack. Being 155 pound wet and not particularly strong i was grateful :lol:
thing got better by the end of the trip after walking that much
and bringing back 8 caribous to camp, i was in better shape than when i arrived

Wow, I'm jealous. What's involved in going up to hunt those critters? I've always wanted to go. I've done plenty of fishing and sledding in Canada. Caribou or moose are pretty much my dream hunts in the GWN, I could do either.
I'd probably have to bring my K-31 swiss just for the "what the heck is that factor."
