just bought mine and it came with a timney trigger so it must be old stock? when did they switch to rifle basix? also are these rifles pillar bedded? my serial number is N161x

what bullets loads should i try in this?

i have 100 grain partitions and 140 AB's, would prefer to shoot partitions

You're correct--we're in the process of switching over to the Rifle Basix triggers but we still have (had) a few of the Timney's on hand so they went in some 260's and a few other rifles. Both triggers are fantastic, the Timney just allows for the 3-position safety, where the Rifle Basix comes with a 2-position.

We accuracy test the 260' with the 130gr. AccuBond load, but either of those should work great. The 125gr. PT's are also a great load to try--they've knocked down quite a few cloven foot creatures.

Hope that helps!

Indeed they are. They're glass and aluminum pillar bedded. Barrels are fully free-floated. Actions are blue-printed and trued with hand-lapped locking lugs.
