I don't think we've done one of these in a while. What rifles would you like to see that aren't being made? Discontinued also works.

I'd really like to see a Winchester Extreme Weather M70 in .375 H&H, with the option of iron sights. And a Supergrade or Sporter in .300 H&H. Sporters in 7x57, .284, and .280.

I'd like Marlin to do another run of Cowboy .38-55s. .25-20 and .32-20 would be cool, too.

I'd like to see Remington to re-introduce the 700 BDL Varmint (a .222 would fill a desire I've had for better than 30 years). Bring back the Mountain Rifle, the LVSF, and M7 Predator. Make the Custom Shop M7 Mannlicher about half the price... no way I'm buying one for $2400.

I'd like to see Sako offer a .222 in an HB varmint rifle.

I'd like to see the Winchester Custom Shop operating again. I'd spring for a Winchester Featherweight chambered in 7X57 and/or .280, as well. I would be thrilled beyond all speech to see Winchester chamber the .358, especially if it was in the Featherweight.

A Savage 99 in .358 would be sweet.

Yeah, Mike, I totally spaced on the Featherweight. 6.5x55 would be cool in that one, too.

That would, indeed, be a cool chambering in the Featherweight. I'd also like to see Winchester chambering the 1871 again.

That was just mean, Gene. Great score for those who pick one up.

...one???

...I was kinda thinkin' BK needs "One of Each"!!!

I'd like to see something chambered in the 35 Newton. It was the non belted magnum of the era before WW1. The 30 Newton shot between the 30-06 and a 300 Win. in velocity with the powders and pressures of the day. They were just a litle longer than the 06 so they would fit any long action. They might a neat special run caliber and with modern powders and metalurgy I think they would equal or surpass the Ruger Compact Mag.

I should have been more specific... Sako 85 Varmint. I'm not usually hung up on how a rifle looks, but those T3s look like the fell out of an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

The Sporter is sorta cool, somewhat.

I would like to see Remington bring back a stainless model 7 and the model 700 titanium

Whoops, forgot about the Ti, too.

Winchester Model 70 sporter and Model 70 EW SS in 280 Remington & 6mm Remington both with 24" barrels. Might even like one of those in the Featherweight, but with a 24" barrel not the 22" they come with.

Ruger #1B's made again. They dropped them from their line of #1's! :? Of course I would want one in 280 and 6mm again.

Ruger Hawkeye stainless laminate in 280 & 6mm.

I would have and did seriously consider purchasing one of the Remingon Limited Edition CDL's in a 6mm this year, but I just could not get over that hideous 1.5" thick recoil pad they put on them! Not sure who's great idea that was! Yes you can pull it off and replace it, but if you notice, the stock is shorter to accept the longer pad so the LOP is not too long. A 1/2 inch or 3/4" pad would result in a shorter LOP. The CDL is a great looking rifle minus that. When I look at one of them my eye always is pulled to all the black at the end of the stock and that in my mind it makes the stock look really cheesy! That and the fact that the Remington's seem to have ISSUES as of late.

...bold talk calling T3's "ugly" from someone who buys Remingtons like they were disposable...

...wait, what???

...Sako had to add a little "ugly" to the Tikkas so some people would still spend the money for a Sako...

That is a classic statement. I'll have to remember that one.

Ouch! That hurts! :)

Good line, Gene.

Good call on just about everything here. I dunno if I would buy the Hawkeye, but everything else is pretty much spot on. With the CDL LE, I might have ended up dropping it in a McMillan, or maybe searched out an older CDL stock without the Frankensteinesque recoil pad.

The 1B is far and away my favorite model of Number 1 (well, that and the 1V, but that's pretty much a 1B with a heavy barrel). Like to see Ruger chamber the .218 Bee in a 1B again.

David, I have that precise rifle. It shoots my loads to about 1/2 MOA. I'm a pretty happy camper  (until Winchester produces the Featherweight in .358, at which time I'll be ecstatic)!
