Scouting the Dry Side

Mostly I hunt the Cascade Mountains, and you guys see photos from there. Time to time though I'll hunt out in the High Desert of Central Washington. I'm fortunate to live where I can access either area quickly from home. Surprising to some, there are a lot of mule deer out here in the High Desert. It's a little different hunting them out here, but I really, really enjoy spending time over on the Dry Side. A few photos from today:











The terrain and vegetation are about as different from wet western Washington as can be imagined. "Evergreen State" indeed....

That looked like crab creek almost. Thanks for sharing the photos. that's what I'm used to hunting, well almost. No real plateaus like that.
