Many are aware of the ELD-M test I'm supposed to do...but the thought of using the short barreled, reduced loaded 7mm-08 for that long range simulation reminded me of another bullet that hasn't been low velocity tested on here yet...

The 160 AccuBond (y)

According to QuickLoad I can load the 160 down to 1,600 fps...I'll be trying 1,800 fps.

I need more jugs!

I have way too many bullets sitting here on my personal shelf. Lol
I have the 200 grain .308 eldx on hand and a number of different GS customs if you want to play!
If you like to blow up jugs I'll try to provide you a little ammo to do it.....lol... just PM me and let me know what you're looking for!
Got some Hornady GMX too.

I can only work with .284 and .277 bullets...I have a 280 Ackley, a 7mm-08, and a 270.

I can do reduced velocity tests with the 7mm stuff because the 7-08 has a 18" barrel.

I've got GS customs in 7 mm + 270. And I have some 7 mm GMX. I'm not trying to talk you into testing ..... but if you like blowing things up I feel like I should contribute, lol. Would be glad to send them to you for free if you're interested.

I wouldn't mind shooting them but honestly I'll do well to find time to do what I've already committed to do.

The only Accubonds I've ever recovered from game were 160's in 7mm. One was a bedded mule deer at 290 yards from my 280 Rem, muzzle velocity 2780 fps. The other from a Gemsbok at 130 yards from my 7x57, muzzle velocity 2750 fps. Bullets retained 69 and 71%. I'll be curious to see your test results.

Now the GMX at low speeds would interest me

I believe I'm going to try some 150 ETs in the Mashburn.. I'm looking to find out the bottom end for those to get an idea of where they will reliably expand.

Either way, all these Bullet tests are really cool and very useful.

I will gladly low speed test any 7mm bullets anybody wants to send me...gladly....I love doing this stuff.

It will have to be on my schedule, might take me a month or 3...but I will do them.
