I was able to buy another 1 lb bottle of IMR 4350 , when I got it home to compare lot number to the first bottle I bought a few months ago , it turned out that they have the same lot number but just a month apart .

Will they produce a" lot" for that long ?

They will market a lot until need for a new one.

Thank you , I bought the 2nd one in a neighboring state.

Ray .

Go buy a couple more and you will be set for a while.

I picked up some kegs of Alliant powder that are only 5 months apart but one is lot 76 and the other is lot 79, so they are definitely making as much as they can.

I think of lot numbers like railroad cars because that's how gunpowder is shipped. Big railroad cats full of gunpowder. When they use up one carload they open another boxcar and start a new lot number.
